Mobile Arts is privately-held and headquartered in the Philippines. It was founded in 1999 as Mariex Inventures. In 2001, it was refocused to matching the needs of mobile consumers and enterprises in Asia with appropriate technologies from anywhere in the world and renamed Mobile Arts, Inc.
The core management team represents a deep pool of telecommunications and information industry experience as well broad management and business skills.
Ramon Duremdes, Jr. Ramon has professional experience from such companies as SGV & Co., Isla Communications (now merged with Globe Telecom), and Smart Communications. He was the pioneering employee of Isla Communications when it was a start-up. At Smart Communications, he played a key role in the industry leader's migration to the digital platform. His work has included project development and financial advisory, business and product development, project management, and general strategy. Ramon’s responsibility in Mobile-Arts is in general strategy and management as well as in product development.
Elmar Gomez. Elmar has been associated with such companies as Nokia, Verifone, and Netlife. At Nokia, he handled the Globe Telecom account. He is an active participant in information technology industry associations as well as in government policy consultative bodies. He is considered an expert in e-commerce, particularly in payment systems. Elmar’s responsibility is in operations as well as account management to wireless carriers and key corporate accounts.
Virgilio Prudente. Gil has been in the forefront of software and network design, implementation, and management for many years. He headed a Philippine software team that won awards in international competitions. He has overseen systems and networking projects in the Philippines, U.S.A, and Japan in a number of industries including medicine, banking, gaming and consumer internet services. He combines his experience and skills in advising Mobile Arts in the design and management of its' platforms and networks.
Carmelita Valdez. Mitz is a Certified Public Accountant. Early in her career, she worked for SGV & Co., the largest public accounting firm in the Philippines. From there, she worked for a multinational pharmaceutical company as a manager in financial planning and financial accounting for eight years. She then moved on to a senior officer position in finance at Isla Communications Inc.- the first commercial GSM operator in the Philippines. She is responsible for financial planning and management at Mobile Arts Inc.
Jennifer Masangkay. Jenny has extensive telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge stemming from systems work in telecommunications companies such as Alltel and Piltel. She has worked for an ISO certified company, where she provided programming, design, analysis, and project management expertise in various applications development tasks. She has also been involved in various capacities for technical projects in the Philippines, USA and Japan. Jenny is responsible for leading the technical team towards effective operations and timely delivery of critical projects.
The management team is ably supported by a group of young achievers.
