The National Computer Center – Field Operations Office (NCC-FOO) is now only a text message away. With a service dubbed as “TEXT NCCFOO”, parties can direct their queries and suggestions to the government agency by using their mobile phones and sending them to 2960.

“Our office has always strived to be totally accessible to the public and to our clients,” NCC-FOO Director Teresa M. Camba said. “Together with our regular communications channels and our website, we hope to become even more reachable through text messaging.”

Championing the rational and optimal use of ICT in the government, NCC-FOO is the outreach arm of the NCC to the regions and countryside. It helps in establishing ICT in the cities, provinces, and municipalities and moves to continuously expand the nation’s computerization base.

By establishing a text messaging service, the agency hopes to open more communication lines and to respond faster to the needs of public. One text message answer from NCC will be sent to the concerned party for each message they send to 2960. There will be a minimal text messaging service fee per response sent.

Individuals may send questions, comments and suggestions on NCC-FOO, the services it offers and the projects the agency is currently involved with, including computer training details and updates on its local government computerization project, eLGU.

“TEXT NCCFOO” is made possible by NCC-FOO and Mobile Arts, Inc.
